The restaurant selections for İzmir and Bodrum, along with the second selection for Istanbul, will be announced during a ceremony held on November 9th in Istanbul.

Gwendal Poullennec, the International Director of Michelin Guide, stated, "After our first stop in Istanbul last year, our inspectors are delighted to add İzmir and Bodrum to their itineraries. Indeed, these two places not only offer cultural and touristic experiences but also boast kitchen scenes deserving of recognition. While İzmir and its surroundings showcase exciting restaurants where many young chefs display top-notch gastronomic skills, Bodrum shines with a variety of innovative concepts in luxury resorts as well as numerous traditional and accessible dining venues. By adding these two new regions to the Michelin Guide, we sincerely hope to spread the message to the world that Turkey is an unmissable gastronomic destination."

Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, also stated, "We are pleased that after Istanbul, İzmir and Bodrum are also becoming prominent 'gastronomy cities.' Thanks to our talented chefs who blend the region's finest products with a farm-to-table approach, we will be able to introduce the richness of our culinary culture, which centers around sustainability, to the world. Visitors coming to İzmir and Bodrum to savor these flavors will be amazed by the endless possibilities the Turkaegean region offers, ranging from its turquoise waters, historical heritage to its quality facilities and cruise tourism. We wholeheartedly believe that many more cities will be added in the coming years."
