Under an agreement with Bremenports, Global Ports Holding will operate Bremerhaven Cruise Port for a period of 10 years, with an option to extend for an additional 5 years. The company plans to take over the operations of the port in the first quarter of the calendar year 2025 when its existing operator's agreement expires. With this move, Global Ports Holding will add its first port in Germany, which is a leading destination for European cruise passengers, to its portfolio. At the Seatrade Europe Exhibition, Global Ports Holding showcased 27 ports from 14 countries, including Bremerhaven, which hosted more than 230,000 passengers in 2022, with over 90% being main port passengers.

Global Ports Holding, a subsidiary of Global Investment Holding and the world's largest cruise port operator, announced that it is adding Bremerhaven, one of the most important cruise ports in the North Sea, to its portfolio. The announcement of the new agreement was made at the Seatrade Europe Exhibition held in Hamburg, Germany. Global Ports Holding stated that under the agreement with Bremenports, it will operate Bremerhaven Cruise Port for a period of 10 years, with an option to extend for an additional 5 years.

Local authorities are continuing a multimillion-euro investment process at Bremerhaven Cruise Port, which, when completed, will expand the berthing facilities and increase the port's passenger capacity. In 2022, Bremerhaven Cruise Port hosted more than 230,000 passengers, with 90% of them being main port passengers. The port is strategically located for Scandinavian and Baltic Sea itineraries.

27 ports from 14 countries

During the fair, which will run until September 8th, Global Ports Holding will participate in conferences that will shape the industry's future goals.
