Uber, the platform for services and mobility, has launched a new service available until November 19th, consisting of a hot air balloon flight in the Tükiye's region of Cappadocia.
Price is 150 euro per person
The experience begins with picking up users from their hotel at 06:00 in the morning, from where they will travel to Göreme (Cappadocia). There, at dawn, a one-and-a-half-hour tour is carried out at almost 900 meters in height around this National Park that declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. After the experience, customers will be returned to their respective hotels.
The experience is available on the Uber app through its Reserve service from October 23rd to November 19th. Each Uber Balloon ride costs 150 euros per person.
Go Turkey expects millions of visitors
The launch of Uber Balloon coincides with the high season for balloon flights in Cappadocia. Go Turkiye, the national tourism office, expects millions of visitors to come to the region in October and November to enjoy this world-famous experience.
In fact, Cappadocia's tourist attraction has grown thanks to the virality of videos on social media, accumulating more than 1.6 billion views on TikTok.
Furthermore, in the last year, the country has also become an increasingly popular destination for Uber users, with nearly five million people using the app to request a ride.
Currently, the company operates in nine Turkish cities, including Istanbul and Antalya, registering a 270 percent growth in trips between 2021 and 2022. In response to this increased demand, the company plans to expand to more cities, including Cappadocia, in the coming months.
