The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the visitor numbers that come to Türkiye for July and the first 7 months of the year.
According to data, number of foreign visitors coming to Türkiye increased by 7.25 percent in June and reached to 7,150 million compared same month of last year.
In terms of visitor number in July Germany took first place in with 941 thousand visitor, fallowed by Russian Federation (884 thousand), and Uk (574 thousand). Poland and Bulgaria are 4th and 5th places respectively.
Surpassing 30 million in 7 months
In the first 7 months of the year, the number of visitors to Türkiye increased by 16.22 percent to 30 million 93 thousand the compared the same period of last year. During this period, 26 million 766 thousand of the visitors were foreigners and rest (3 million 327 thousand) Türkiye citizens who residing in abroad.
Russia is the leader
In the ranking of countries sending the most visitors to Türkiye in the first 7 months of the year, the Russian Federation ranked first place with an increase of 59.22 percent and some 3,5 million people compared to the same period of the previous year. It was followed by Germany with an increase of 7.32 percent and 3,2 million and the United Kingdom with an increase of 14 percent and 2 million. Bulgaria and İran occupy the 4th and 5th places respectively.
