Owned by The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, one of the world's most prestigious hotel companies, The Peninsula London is the first British hotel of The Peninsula Hotels brand, and it is situated at Hyde Park Corner and Wellington Arch. Bringing a unique sense of style and luxury to the heart of Belgravia, the hotel has been designed by craftsmen who reflect the best of British craftsmanship and is within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Knightsbridge, and other iconic landmarks.

A special destination

Designed by Hopkins Architects to harmonize perfectly with the surrounding historic architecture, the hotel is filled with natural light and boasts a chic and spacious aesthetic. The property is situated around a large, off-street courtyard landscaped by award-winning international landscape architect Enzo Enea, featuring climbing jasmine and wisteria and two 120-year-old Japanese maple trees (the oldest of their kind in Europe). This central front courtyard, a rare find in bustling Belgravia, allows guests easy access and transportation via the hotel's luxury car collection, which includes the Rolls-Royce Phantom II, hybrid Bentley Bentayga, a vintage 1960 Austin taxi, and a meticulously restored 1935 Rolls-Royce Phantom Sedanca de Ville.

Exclusive accommodation and event spaces

The Peninsula London, designed by world-renowned architect and interior designer Peter Marino, incorporates elegant interiors inspired by grand British homes and the surrounding natural environment, filling the spaces with natural light. The hotel offers 190 spacious guest rooms and suites, starting at 50 square meters, featuring bespoke furnishings, textiles, and original artworks that evoke a sense of private residence. All rooms include mahogany-paneled dressing rooms, bathrooms with honey onyx, and custom amenities crafted by famous British craftsmen, while many rooms feature high ceilings and windows with views of Wellington Arch and the unique panorama of Belgravia.

General Manager of The Peninsula London, Sonja Vodusek, said about the hotel's opening, "It is a proud moment for me and my team to open the doors of The Peninsula London to our first guests. Welcoming both local residents and international visitors to experience this extraordinary property and enjoy The Peninsula's sophisticated hospitality and service in one of the world's most dynamic cities is truly exciting. The creation of this unique hotel has been a creative project that spanned many years. The Peninsula searched for the perfect location in London for over three decades, and now, thanks to a great deal of craftsmanship, care, and dedication from our team, we hope our hotel will shine not only in London but globally for generations to come."

"Best of British" collaborations with craftsmen

The Peninsula London is set to open its doors thanks to curated excellence and collaborations with some of the United Kingdom's most beloved artists and creators. Design elements and amenities prepared exclusively by these creative partners, including fashion designer Jenny Packham, renowned British perfumer Timothy Han, and more than 40 artists from The Royal Drawing School, adorn not only the hotel's public spaces but also guest accommodations.

More to come…

In the coming months, The Peninsula London will offer guests a wide range of relaxation and comfort options, including a comprehensive menu of mind and body therapies at the hotel's Spa and Wellness Center; exercise classes and workshops in the fully-equipped modern fitness center; and swimming in the stunningly lit 25-meter indoor pool.

Guests who appreciate high-end shopping will enjoy the nine luxury boutiques located on the hotel's ground floor passageway, featuring brands like Asprey London, DMR - David M Robinson Jewellery and Watches, Mouawad, Moussaieff Diamond, and more.

Starting in November, the hotel's private event spaces will also leave a lasting impression. The most spectacular venue, the St. George Ballroom, boasts elevators large enough to accommodate vehicles, in addition to its guests. Other spaces include stylish and configurable conference rooms of various sizes and a 15-seat private cinema room for film screenings, all equipped with high-tech amenities and serviced by the hotel's dedicated events team.

In December, four private suites, three of which feature spacious private balconies and terraces, will be made available for special events. The Peninsula Suite, the grandest of them all, includes a private cinema room and fitness center.
