Accor, one of the world's largest hotel chains, continues to open new resort hotels under its 'All Inclusive Collection,' which includes the Rixos Hotels, to venture into resort hospitality. As part of this initiative, the company is getting ready to open its first hotel under the luxury Swissotel brand in the Sharm El Sheikh region of Egypt.

A massive facility with 1350 rooms

The hotel, previously operating under a different name with 1350 rooms, has been renovated and transformed into a Swissotel. The large facility will be put into operation in stages, initially offering services with 600 rooms. The remaining portion will be put into service as the transformation is completed.

Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh, which will start hosting its first guests on January 6th, will be managed by Rixos, a successful brand in all-inclusive resort hospitality.

The facility will feature 13 aqua parks, 14 pools, one main and 8 à la carte restaurants. The 816-room section of the facility will operate as an adult-only hotel, while the remaining part will function as a family hotel.

Selçuk Ermez, who has served in Rixos's hotels in the UAE and Qatar for nearly 5 years, will take on the role of general manager of the hotel.

New resort hotels with luxury brands on the way

Accor, which opened a Sofitel in Spain under the All Inclusive Collection, will continue to open resort hotels with the Mövenpick and Fairmont brands after the Swissotel in Sharm El Sheikh. Rixos Hotels will handle the transformation and management of luxury resort hotel brands in Accor's selected portfolio.
