The 31st Ordinary General Assembly and Export Champions Award Ceremony of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) was held at the Haliç Congress Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Operating under Coral Travel Group, ODEON Tours was honored with the Special Award for Service Export by TİM. In 2023, ODEON Tours brought over 1.5 million tourists to Türkiye, contributing 650 million euros in service exports. Maintaining its leadership in the tourism sector, ODEON Tours ranked 7th in the service export category for the second consecutive year.
At the ceremony where ODEON Tours was awarded 7th place among 1000 export companies in the service category, the award was presented to Ayhan Bektaş, Chairman of Coral Travel Group, by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, and President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly Mustafa Gültepe.
“Our 2024 target is 1.65 million tourists”
Expressing pride and happiness in playing a pioneering role in the development of the tourism sector, Coral Travel Group Chairman Ayhan Bektaş said, “In 2023, when we set records in Turkish tourism, we achieved all our targets as Coral Travel Group, bringing more than 1.5 million tourists from 15 different source markets to our country. We are preparing to host nearly 1.65 million tourists in 2024. In the next three years, we aim to exceed 1 billion euros in annual foreign exchange exports to our country.”

Bektaş mentioned that they continue their investments in many areas of the sector by increasing the diversity of source markets, saying, “To bring more tourists to our country every year, within the framework of our source market diversity and growth strategy, we quickly adapt to the demands and changing conditions in existing markets while closely monitoring source markets in different countries and regions. Last year, we increased our source diversity by opening new companies in the Czech Republic, Romania, and Switzerland under Coral Travel. As Coral Travel Group, we host over 3 million guests in 90 destinations across 40 countries. In our highly competitive sector, we also prioritize research into innovative products and services. Leading digital transformation in our sector, we grow by investing significantly in our technological infrastructure every year.”
