Mehmet İşler, President of the Aegean Touristic Enterprises and Accommodations Union (ETİK), provided an evaluation of New Year's reservations in tourist districts such as Çeşme, Bodrum, Foça, and Seferihisar in the Aegean Region.
"Occupancy rates in hotels are close to 100% on New Year's"
Mehmet İşler noted that those who want to celebrate New Year's Eve in touristic areas have created intensity in reservations, and occupancy rates are approaching 100%.
He said, "The 3-day New Year holiday provided a great opportunity for tourism. Especially, hotels offered accommodation packages for celebrating New Year's for 2 or 3 days. The sector did not forget about the children. For them, special entertainment programs, children's menus, and entertainment activities for celebrating the new year with their families were prepared.
"2024 will be good for Aegean tourism"
In the Aegean Region, we had reached around 80% occupancy 15 days before. As we entered the last week, the occupancy rate in almost all our facilities has reached close to 100%. Citizens who have not made a decision should hold onto their reservations as soon as possible. As tourism professionals, we will enter the year 2024 with abundance in the Aegean Region," he stated.
