Having a solid background in the hospitality sector with executive roles in leading hotel groups in Turkey such as Hilton Ankara, Hyatt Regency Istanbul, Hillside Su Hotel, Ela Excellence Resort Hotel, and Hilton Dalaman Resort and Spa, Tunç Batum has been serving as the general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bosphorus, Istanbul since May 2023.
Tunç Batum, who has been appointed to the position of general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum as of November 2023, just in time for the hotel's 10th anniversary season in 2024, completed his university education in Translation and Interpretation at Hacettepe University.
Batum studied Business and Management at Middle East Technical University and took courses in Restaurant Management at Carlson Hospitality. With 35 years of professional experience in various areas of the tourism sector, he has held managerial positions in numerous national and international establishments. Tunç Batum is actively involved in skiing and tennis.
Commenting on his new role, Batum stated, "In my 35-year career in the tourism sector, I have gained diverse experiences and professional achievements in various areas.
