Approximately 2.5 years ago, a weak Caretta Caretta sea turtle was found on the shore and taken under care, where it began its recovery with regular feeding and medical treatment. After completing its rehabilitation, with the support of Lara Barut Collection, the sea turtle was sent off into the sea on July 20, 2022, during an event attended by a large group of visitors at the hotel's beach. Since then, it has covered approximately 3,000 km within one year.
Cem Karacan, the General Manager of Lara Barut Collection, said, "We have been protecting Caretta Caretta nests for years because these creatures are important residents of our region. We need to be conscious about their well-being. We are very happy to be part of this project. Our guests also follow Lara through the map on our website and ask us about her. There was a period of about two months when we couldn't receive any signal from Lara, and we were saddened, thinking that we lost her. When we started receiving signals again, there was great joy within our team. Lara has become a part of us, and we hope to hear from her for many years to come."
