These new hotels, a result of IHG's sustainable growth efforts across Europe, encompass the company's five brands: InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, and Holiday Inn Resort.

Essentials

IHG's first hotel in Mersin, the Holiday Inn Mersin, established in partnership with investor Köknar Turizm San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., will operate as a 95-room hotel. Positioned as part of a new financial development in the city, the hotel offers easy access to the city center, public transportation, and the seaside, making it an ideal solution for both business and leisure travel. The hotel is scheduled to open in late 2026.

Scheduled to open in late 2025 in Istanbul, the Holiday Inn Express Istanbul Arnavutköy, in collaboration with investor Fıratım İnşaat Gayrimenkul San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., will be a 64-room hotel located near Istanbul International Airport. The hotel is planned to feature a bar, restaurant, and terrace.

IHG's first Resort Hotel in Türkiye, the Holiday Inn Resort Bodrum, opened in the summer of 2023, featuring 266 rooms and located in Bodrum Bardakçı Bay. Situated on hills overlooking the Aegean Sea, the facility serves as an excellent escape with pools, a spa, three restaurants, and five bars.

The Crowne Plaza Yalova, IHG's first hotel in Yalova, developed in collaboration with Martı Termal Turizm İnşaat Sanayi, is set to open in spring 2024. The hotel will include 106 rooms, a lobby bar with a restaurant, bakery, meeting area, and a ballroom. Additionally, it will offer spa, fitness, and healthy living spaces for those living in neighboring cities like Istanbul who wish to enjoy Yalova's thermal springs and beaches.

Collaborating with Hüma Sağlık Hizmetleri A.Ş., the Crowne Plaza Kayseri is set to open in the second quarter of 2024, featuring 186 rooms, a restaurant, lobby bar, meeting area, fitness, and spa facilities. As the first Crowne Plaza hotel in the city, it is conveniently located near Kayseri's industrial zone, city center, and Kayseri football stadium. The hotel is also in proximity to Erciyes Mountain, one of Türkiye's most famous ski resorts, adjacent to a renovated, fully-equipped hospital.

Luxury & Lifestyle

The InterContinental Bursa hotel, with 231 rooms, signed at the beginning of the year, will operate as a luxury hotel in the country's fourth-largest city. Developed in collaboration with investor Atis Yapı, the hotel is planned to open in early 2025 and become one of the largest hotels in this UNESCO World Heritage-status city. Türkiye already hosts the InterContinental Istanbul on the European side, offering views of the Bosphorus and the historic peninsula.
