There are franchise agreements for over 400 hotels in 49 cities in Türkiye that are operated by 23 foreign hotel chains. Hotels make payments to the chain they are affiliated with based on their type, class, location, and the brand they have, according to the brand's structure.

Hotels using the franchise system pay a fee for room revenues ranging from 4 to 5 percent, depending on the type, class, number of stars, status, and brand. Additionally, a fee of 2.5 to 3 percent of room revenue is paid for marketing. Fees for operations vary between 3 and 4 percent of room revenues.

"According to the calculations made by Kayhan Taner Özen, Senior Business Financial Analyst, based on ministry data, Turkish hotels make payments of around $125 million annually to foreign chains for franchises."
