Strong growth plan

Anthony Capuano, President and CEO of Marriott International, recently visited Türkiye, highlighting Türkiye's rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, diverse travel experiences, and authentic hospitality. During his visit to discuss Marriott's growth plans in Türkiye with hotel owners and investors, Capuano emphasized the company's commitment to employee development and the importance of building an inclusive and diverse leadership team in Türkiye. Among Anthony Capuano’s plans is the launch of a special program aimed at the Turkish market, which will collaborate with a hospitality school offering students the opportunity to receive education, gain work experience, and earn diplomas at Marriott Hotels in Türkiye.

Expansion plans until 2025

As part of Marriott's growth plans in Türkiye, the opening of over 20 new hotels in all segments, including luxury, premium, and economy, is expected by the end of 2025.

Moxy is expected to enter Türkiye from Istanbul and Izmir

The company's brand, Moxy Hotels, is expected to enter Türkiye with projects in Istanbul and Izmir. The expansion of the AC by Marriott portfolio with new hotels in Istanbul and Izmir, as well as the expansion of the Aloft Hotels and Residence Inn by Marriott portfolios with hotels scheduled to open next year, is also planned.

In the premium segment, the company plans to open its first hotels in Cappadocia and Uşak with the openings of Cappadocia Marriott Hotel and Sheraton Hotel & Thermal Spa Uşak. The expansion plans also include the Marriott Executive Apartments brand.

Strengthening its position in the luxury segment

Following the recent opening of Sanasaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Istanbul, the company plans to strengthen its position in the luxury segment with the addition of Legacy Ottoman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul, by 2025.
