Atout France, the French Tourism Development Agency, which strengthens France's position as a tourism destination worldwide with its 29 offices in 25 countries, met with Turkish travel agencies in Istanbul as part of its international promotional activities.
They conduct around 2,800 promotional events annually. Supported by over 1,100 French professionals in international promotional activities, Atout France organizes over 2,800 promotional events every year. These encompass digital strategies, communication campaigns, social media events, trade fairs targeting travel industry professionals, workshops, sales visits, press trips, and press conferences.
As part of their annual specialized events for different destinations, Atout France organized one in Istanbul this year on October 24-25. Atout professionals informed leading Turkish travel agencies about France's advantages in winter tourism and the touristic potential of Paris during this event.
Face-to-face meetings were held. At a dinner hosted at Okra Restaurant in Istanbul, Atout France had the opportunity to hold face-to-face meetings between senior officials from Turkish agencies and executives from leading organizations in France.
Representatives from Val d'Isere and Megeve Tourism Offices, which are among the leading French holiday destinations in skiing tourism, and officials from Novotel and Le Saint-Gervais hotels in the Megeve Ski Resort informed agencies about their region's tourism products.
Additionally, world-renowned symbols of Paris such as Galeries Lafayette and the Eiffel Tower, as well as La Vallee Village, another destination for shopping enthusiasts, had the opportunity to share the latest updates with the agencies.
The event was represented by Karim Meckachera, the director of Atout France, and Zamira Ismatova, the Atout France Middle East, Türkiye, and Iran Responsible. The event was coordinated by Next Phase Consulting.
