According to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Türkiye welcomed 4.341 million visitors in the first two months of 2024, marking a 12% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

In February 2024 alone, Türkiye saw a 22.68% increase, with 2.294 million people visiting.

Iran was the top source of visitors in the first two months, sending 437,000 tourists. Russia followed closely with 433,000 visitors, with Bulgaria (345,000), Germany (330,000), and Georgia (207,000) completing the top five.

Compared to the first two months of 2023, the number of visitors from Iran increased by 94.94%, from Germany by 14.80%, and from Bulgaria by 8.58%, while numbers from Russia and Georgia decreased by 14.55% and 5.19%, respectively.

In February, the highest number of visitors came from Iran, with 226,000, followed by Russia (203,000), Germany (187,000), Bulgaria (182,000), and Georgia (110,000).

During this period, compared to February 2023, there was an increase of 101.36% from Iran, 28.85% from Germany, 21.22% from Bulgaria, and 5.96% from Georgia, while the number of visitors from Russia declined by 10.81%.
