The number of visitors hosted by Antalya in the first five months of the year increased by 16.26% compared to the same period last year.

Breaking the all-time best start record in tourism, Antalya hosted a total of 3,959,267 visitors in the first five months.

Germany leads again

In the first five months of the year, Germany maintained its position as the country sending the most tourists to Antalya.

Germany led the list with 974,272 visitors, followed by the Russian Federation with 857,862 visitors and the United Kingdom with 451,341 visitors.

Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belgium, and France followed the United Kingdom respectively.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of visitors from the main market countries increased by 18% from Germany, 9% from the Russian Federation, 28% from the United Kingdom, 35% from Poland, 16% from the Netherlands, 12% from Kazakhstan, 59% from Ukraine, 12% from Belgium, and 39% from France.

Russia surpasses Germany in May

Antalya, which is the center of attention for both domestic and international visitors with its sea, sand, sun, historical and natural beauties, cultural structures, and ancient cities, also set a record in the number of visitors in May.

In May this year, the number of visitors to Antalya increased by 18.72% compared to the same month last year, reaching 1,892,302.

In May, the Russian Federation led the list of countries sending the most tourists to Antalya.

In May this year, 491,078 visitors came to Antalya from the Russian Federation, surpassing Germany. Germany ranked second with 434,609 visitors, while the United Kingdom was third with 185,221 visitors.

Following the United Kingdom in May, the countries sending the most visitors to Antalya were Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Lithuania, Romania, and Belarus (White Russia).

Compared to the same period last year, the main market countries in May saw an increase of 26% from the Russian Federation, 14% from Germany, 23% from the United Kingdom, 38% from Poland and the Netherlands, 11% from Kazakhstan, 66% from Ukraine, 45% from Romania, and 36% from Belarus.
