Continuing to broadcast its name worldwide as Türkiye's tourism capital, Alanya participated in the fair with an 80-square-meter booth, designed exclusively for this event. Representing Alanya were Burhan Sili, President of the Alanya Touristic Operators Association (ALTİD), Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of ALTİD and the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), along with ALTAV Board Members Gürol Birgen and Nevzat Özdemir. ALTAV and ALTİD, which have been preparing for the annual fair for a long time, designed the booth with all details in mind, providing Alanya's tourism professionals with the opportunity to conduct their meetings.

"A 30% increase in Germany"

Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of ALTAV and ALTİD, commented on the ITB Berlin fair, stating, "We have been preparing for this fair for a long time. As a result of our efforts, we continue our activities at our booth, which we have carefully prepared to strengthen Alanya's presence in the international arena. Based on our meetings with tourism professionals, I can say that there has been a 30% increase in bookings from Germany for 2024 compared to last year. However, during our discussions, industry professionals noted that especially the older demographic in Germany prefers Turkey, and emphasized the need to attract the younger generation to our country and region. In this direction, we can investigate other tourist spots preferred by the youth in Germany and develop activities and solutions targeted at them in our country. This can increase the likelihood of the youth in Germany choosing Türkiye. Additionally, several agencies have purchased seats from Corendon Airlines to fly from 6 different cities in Germany to Gazipaşa-Alanya (GZP) Airport. They have informed us that ongoing sales are going well. If sales continue in this manner, the number of seats can be increased, leading to an increase in the number of flights, and in the coming years, our Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport can reach the desired level."

Following meetings and visits on the first day, the interest in the Alanya booth and discussions with tourism professionals continued intensively on the second day of the fair.
