The President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers Association (AKTOB) Kaan Kavaloğlu, assessing the German tourism market following ITB Berlin, noted an increasing interest from European tourists towards Türkiye. Highlighting Türkiye's rise to the top spot in early reservation sales, surpassing Spain for the first time, the AKTOB President disclosed that 1.5 million Germans have already booked early reservations for Antalya holidays.

Emphasizing the brisk pace of early reservation sales from Germany and the UK, Kavaloğlu pointed out that reservations in Russia have been sluggish due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, thereby elevating Europe as a preferred destination for Türkiye.

Kavaloğlu stated that this year's visitor target for Antalya exceeds 17 million, with expectations of reaching 4 million visitors from Germany alone. Additionally, he mentioned anticipating German tourist numbers surpassing those from Russia in Antalya this year.
